SUMMER SOLSTICE Ceremony and Celebration – Outdoor Event

The Summer Solstice is the major gathering of the community from NY, CT and Mass. who desire to connect with the indigenous practices from the Anishinaabe First Nation as shared by Bear Walker, Scott Nelson and others. We will honor and celebrate the longest day of the year, the most light on the Earth with gratitude for all the blessings we receive. Enjoy a drumming circle and ceremony as we connect with Gaia and Gitche Manatou. Our energy together as a community on the Summer Solstice will be healing for all in attendance and send out a great light to support heart awakening of humanity. At the end of the program Qigong instructor, Beth Anesi, will showcase Meridian Dance with lively upbeat rhythms to enliven your chi!

CAPACITY:  75 PEOPLE. RSVPs Required! Two parking lots are available at Kimberly Bridge that will hold 45 cars.  Please carpool, if possible.

BRING: A folding chair for yourself,  your own food and beverage for the day.  There wil be some shade available.  Charcoal grills are available for those who would like to cook- drum or shakers for the drumming circle.

OFFERINGS:  You are encouraged to bring food offerings to share with the community as part of the celebration.  There will be a cooler to keep items cold.

TIME: Gather by Noon. You are welcome to come as early at 10AM to enjoy the walking trails along the river.  The park closes at 8 PM.

COST:  Parking $10 if you do not have a Westchester County Park Pass. Ceremonies are always free.  We gratefully accept donations to defray the cost of the Park Permit for this occasion and to support ongoing programs at Balancing 4 Life and provide a Healing Scholarship fund for those who need support but are having financial difficulties at this time.
